Hanging out in the line of cars being picked up or dropped off at the airport is definitely not my idea of a vacation. Time to ninja it.
If you have an early morning flight, you may be able to avoid the line by getting dropped off the the arrivals areal; there are usually more flights departing than arriving. By the same token, if you have a late flight out or arrive in the evening, you can probably avoid the rush by meeting the car in the departures area.
The difference between departures and arrivals is typically only an escalator ride away, though you might want to check on your local airport for that. That is all assuming, of course, you're actually in the terminal you're supposed to be... um, you're there, right?
