It’s certainly one way to make sure your luggage never ends up in the wrong hands. Not literally your face, but a picture of your face would probably suffice.
It’s certainly not every day Facebook gives me glimmers of traveling wisdom other than “OHMIGOD, I AM GOING TO MACCHU PICCHU” with 47 likes to back it up. In this particular case, I was checking if anyone liked my post about a joint Backstreet Boys-Spice Girl tour taking a little break when I spied a post from my friend Joe who was returning from a trip at Chicago O’Hare who posted this little packing nugget:
TSA: "That is that gentleman's luggage over there."
Other TSA: (how do you know confused look on her face)
TSA: "It has his face on it."I can't really call it a pro tip, but having your face on your luggage and property makes it super easy identifying your belongings for everybody.
I don’t know many other details about that particular incident, but I think the easiest way would be to insert a picture of yourself into your luggage tag. Conversely, some sticker photos taken from a photobooth should work well or just put those extra visa pictures to good use. Now all you have to do is make sure is that the picture looks like you, not some super Photoshopped and airbrushed version of yourself.
Thank Zuckerburg and Joe for this one.
