Life is simple like that sometimes. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask for what you want.
Reader Karen recently was hanging out on an airplane when she contacted Gogo's customer service looking for a promotional code. Though there weren't any active promotions at the time, they offered her a code for 50% off.
Here's the actual exchange.
It follows the golden rule: If it's asking for an in-flight discount code or a hotel upgrade, the best way to get it is to flat out ask for it. Get to a real person, and ask. There is no secret trick sometimes.
Considering Gogo recently raised the cost of their all-day passes to $19 (if prepurchased; purchasing during the ride is significantly more exorbitant), it's not a bad idea to ask for a discount before jetting into the sunset.
