From free lounge passes to expedited security, keep these on dial if you've got any plans for the summer.
Memorial Day has officially kicked off the start of the travel summer holiday season, meaning the tourists are about to come out in droves, and things are about to get expensive. This list will cover any unusual deals outside flash sales that extends through the entirety of the summer season, unless noted. (If we've missed anything, please let us know!)
This list will be updated throughout the summer season. 😎
CLEAR
CLEAR is something that we've written about in the past, and it's kinda like PreCheck's more expensive cousin—except it's not exactly PreCheck. The company is offering a free 2-month trial that includes up to four people (yourself and 3 family members). This includes jumping to the front of the security line at airports, and sports stadiums.
In order to take advantage of the offer, use this link or use the code BOS2019. Offer ends June 9, 2019 so better get on it.
Emirates
Emirates is wooing summer travelers to fly on its flights by returning the My Emirates Pass promotion, essentially a "passport" to discounts within Dubai. There's nothing special travelers have to do: All they have to simply do is present their boarding pass and a valid form of identification in any of the participating outlets to receive major discounts up to 50% off. (Mileage may vary.)
The offer runs between May 1 and August 31, 2019. For a full list of participating retailers, check out this list.
Kimpton
Kimpton is offering guests a 'special surprise' for saying a secret phrase to the front desk. Special surprises include anything from a free upgrade, free breakfast, free parking, or possibly something not that cool. It really depends on the hotel; may the Hotel Gods be with you.
The offer runs from May 24 to September 2, 2019.
Two words: social password. It’s back! Just say ‘Off Duty’ at check-in, now through September 2nd, for a fun surprise from the front desk. pic.twitter.com/wWHwIUQaO3

Qantas
Qantas is offering free lounge passes for travelers between the ages of 18-35. (Basically, a good portion of Map Happy readers.)
In order to receive the free lounge pass, travelers must register for a Qantas frequent flyer account for free (which costs $99.50 normally 🤷) and make a new booking between May 25 to August 31, 2019. Flights must start between June 1, 2019 and February 29, 2020.
Flights must be booked at least seven days in advance and must be on an international flight.
(Those flights to Australia are long. Lounge access is kinda needed. Definitely suggest use it at a connection to shower, or to freshen up to feel halfway sane.)
