Of course, the best gift for any traveler is another trip somewhere! What do we have to do these days, wait for a honeymoon to find an excuse for other people to buy our experiences? (Apparently.)
Coincidentally, today is also Cyber Monday so get all those giftâuns things in (Norwegian and CLEAR are having decent sales). Look, we get it, placing the emphasis on material goods is the antithesis of experiences, but if they enable us to get where we need to be going, so be it. And there's already a gift guide for ridiculous yet fun travel gifts that no one needs but wants. 😁
Plus, like a good friend, we scoped out all the good sales for you in advance!
[Nothing is included if we havenât personally reviewed it or put hands on them ourselves. Stuff gets sent to us all the time.]

- Matador Pocket Blanket (and Earplugs)
AeroPress Go
Look, we gave this thing rave reviews, cuz, coffee addiction, and AeroPress consistently delivers the best craft, single-batch coffee out there. (Itâs unlikely you will have time for more than one cup at a single time on the road. It may not be enough coffee to deliver for home use, but for the road, itâs the ideal accompaniment.)
Especially if you donât already own an AeroPress, itâs a no-brainer. How else are you going to power through those New Zealand drives across the countryside?
Allbirds Women's Tree Breezers [Ladies]
Add this one to the curated millennial gear folks. The Tree Runners are perfectly fine in their own regard (sans a few things), but even compared to Rothyâs, which we also own, the Allbirds are a clear winner in terms of overall comfort. If weâre going to be on our feet all day, the clear pick is the Allbirds Tree Breezers flats hands down.
Threshold Microplush Bed Blanket
Sometimes thereâs no reason to break the bank for a little bit of hygge â and after months on the road, snuggling yourself in your own bed is all you want. (We once famously backtracked, spending a few hundred dollars, just to fly back home to sleep in our own bed just for two nights before hitting the road again.)
Price:Â $22.99, on sale for $13.79
ROAM The Jaunt Carry-On Suitcase
Everybody likes to be enabled, and thereâs nothing like being enabled by a suitcase. Sure, this suitcase is probably a little more expensive than that millennial pink bag prevalent on Instagram, but it's a fully customizable suitcase with the quality to match.
Backed by the Tumi founders and execs, thereâs no reason to ever mistake your suitcase for somebody elseâs ever again.
(Ours is a lean, power black with royal purple stitching. How's that for making a statement?)
Uniqlo Pocketable Parka
The Japanese version of GAP has made leaps and bounds in the past decade, and thank God. Uniqlo, a clothing retailer that designs functional, design-conscious clothes (into clean lines? The Japanese are experts at that!), is perfect for replicating the Elizabeth Holmes look or stocking up on performance clothing.
This pocketable parka is no exception! Thin and light, there's zero bulk, and much lighter than an umbrella. It's also a much, much better option than the hideous poncho.
Price:Â $39.90, on sale for $29.90
Matador Pocket Blanket (and Earplugs)
Sometimes instead of standing all the time, all you want to do is... sit. Sit on a clean spot, preferably.
Is that a lot to ask for?
The Matador Pocket Blanket is a blanket that folds up and stows in a bag or purse for easy access. It's great for embodying that Japanese art of sitting down, literally anywhere from the beach to your apartment floor if it is just a *tad* bit dusty.
Though the travel earplugs don't reinvent in the wheel in the earplug category, the key ring holders are perfect for keeping track of them.
Price:Â $29.99, on sale for $25.49
