A few years ago, my husband and I trevalled to South Korea via Japan. I was anxious not to contravene the anti-terrorist laws so I left my precious knitting behind at home. To compensate I took cross stitch but we had such a good time that I never touched it. Shortly after we returned home it was announced that things such as knitting needles could be carried on board in hand luggage so I never need to leave my knitting again.
