The Airport That Has the Fastest Wi-Fi Is…

Okay, I’ll tell you after the jump. I just couldn’t give away all my pearly golds, could I?

Not too long ago, Rotten Wifi, a group that advocates for better public Wi-Fi and 3G/4G service, got the data (yeah, I went there) on the top airports for the best Wi-Fi all around the globe. Unsurprisingly, Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Thailand hails first at an impressive 41.45 Mbps. Those Asians.

The U.S. trails behind with Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) in 2nd place. Speeds at the Tennessee airport averaged 30.9 Mbps but makes a fair showing compared to other airports. In successive order, next is Dublin Airport (DUB) followed by Vilnius International Airport (VNO) and Helsinki Airport (HEL), which round out the top five.

The only other American airport on the list is Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas which slides in at 9th place (15.28 Mbps). All in all, the team surveyed 130 airports in different 53 countries.

Next, finding the nearest outlet.
