The majority1 of Global Entry applicants get approved within two weeks, though there's a few unlucky folks that need to be manually reviewed. Luckily, there is actually a phone number.
My guess is if you're reading this, you're special like us. We submitted our application in early February of this year, which means it has been sitting in the queue for just under eight months.
According to Reddit, it is possible to expedite a Global Entry application if it has been sitting in the queue for an unreasonable amount of time. ("Unreasonable" is definitely up for interpretation, though a U.S. CBP rep can attest to what qualifies. The final say is with U.S. Customs, though.)
