Turn On Full Brightness for Mobile Boarding Passes

    Published/Updated: Aug 6, 2025 · Erica Ho · Under a minute read

Do you know what's embarrassing? When you scan your phone… and then nothing happens.

Talk about technology letting you down, dude. And then everyone behind you-who has a paper ticket, by the way-looks irritated because it hasn't taken you a nanosecond to get past the checkpoint. It's not too bad though because you've just make sure your phone isn't doing two things by the time the license makes an appearance.

The two settings you've got to be concerned about is to making sure your phone is on full brightness (or at least automatic brightness) and isn't rotating the orientation whenever you lay it down (nothing more annoying when everyone's annoyed). If you've got that ready by the time you reach the front of the line, you're already one step ahead of the game.
